Fee Structure For First Year Engineering 2014 - 2015

Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State Candidate and outside Maharashtra State Candidate


  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject

  • AND

  • Secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject added together.

  • AND

  • Obtained a positive Composite Score i.e. marks obtained after adding 50% of JEE (Main) 2015 (Paper-1) marks and 50% of normalized standard XII (Board or equivalent examination) marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Admission Procedure

B.E. First year

  • The candidates should have passed HSSC or its equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject & Mathematics as subjects securing 50% in PCM. (45% in case of backward class categories of Maharashtra State)

  • The candidates should appeared in JEE (Mains) in that particular academic year.


Direct Second year Admission


The candidate should have passed Diploma course in Engineering / Technology in first class in English medium,awarded by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) or autonomous institution to which autonomy has been granted by the State of Maharashtra or Diploma recognized as equivalent to the diploma awarded by MSBTE for seeking direct admission to degree as prescribed by the directorate of Technical Education,Maharashtra.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    • Admission of Maharashtra State and OMS candidate to First Year (F.E.) of Bachelors in Engineering (BE)
      • Passed Std XII (HSC) as well as secured 50% marks together in Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and either Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject. (45% for candidates of Backward Class) belonging to Maharashtra State.
      • Valid Score at JEE-Main

    • Admission for J & K migrant candidates:
      • Eligibility criteria remains the same. However, the admissions of J & K Quota candidates are done by DTE MS. Please refer towww.dte.org.infor updated rules and schedule.

    • Direct Admission to Second Year-Degree Course in Engineering (Lateral Entry):
      • The Candidate must be an Indian National and passed Post-SSC or Post-HSC Diploma Course in Engineering/Technology with at least 45 % marks (40 % marks in the case of candidates from Back-ward class and Physically Handicapped categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only) in the Appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology from an AICTE approved Institution with English as the medium of instruction at Diploma level.

      • The Candidate must be an Indian National and passed B.Sc. Degree from a UGC /Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% marks in the case of candidates from Back-ward class and Physically Handicapped categories belonging to the State of Maharashtra only).

    Schorship & financial AIDS

    • If your admission is through Centralized Allotment Process (CAP) than you will be eligible for scholarship provided by government of maharashtra (SC/ST/VT/NT/SBC/OBC/EBC)


    For admission to first year of two full time post graduate degree courses in MBA/MMS and PGDBM/PGDM in the Govt, University managed, University departments and Unaided institutes in the Maharashtra state:

    Eligibility criteria for appearing to entrance exam of MBA i.e. MAH-MBA/MMS-CET

    The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

    Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and persons with disability belonging to Maharashtra state only) in any Bachelor’s degree awarded by any of the Universities incorporated by an act of central or state legislature in India.

    Candidates appearing for final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to appear.

    Candidates who have appeared for CAT, GMAT, CMAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA and MAH-MBA/MMS-CET are considered eligible for admission against the All India Seatssubject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

    STEPS FOR ADMISSION TO THE MANAGEMENT COURSES VIZ. MBA/MMS/PGDBM/PGDM THROUGH MH-CET

    1. Registration and confirmation of online application exam form for MAH-MBA/MMS-CET at http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in by all aspiring candidates.
    2. Download of hall ticket through candidate’s login of successfully registered candidates.
    3. Appearing for online exam at allotted centre on specified date and time.
    4. Declaration of the result on the website http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
    5. Download of result through candidate’s login.
    6. Assignment of merit number to every candidate on the basis of percentile obtained.
    7. Document verification at ARC centres as per the notified schedule.
    8. The candidates belonging to SC, VJ/DT (NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC and SBC categories have to produce “Caste Validity Certificate” and candidates belonging to ST category should submit “Tribal Validity Certificate” and valid Non Creamy Layer certificate at the time of verification of documents.
    9. The centralized admission process (CAP) will consist of total three rounds, out of which first two rounds shall be based on computer allotment(Direct allotment) and third round by centralized counseling.
    10. After the display of allotment list in each CAP round, candidates should report to the “Respective Institutes” as per the notified schedule of the admission process.
    11. Candidates shall report to the concerned institute with all original certificates.
    12. Respective institute will carry out online update of confirmation of the candidate’s admission on website through their institute login.
    13. The system shall generate letter of confirmation of the admission as an acknowledgement.
    14. The institute takes printout of the acknowledgement and then the status of candidate will change to ‘Reported Candidate’.

    DOCUMENTS REQUIRED DURING ADMISSION PROCESS

    Candidates are required to carry original documents for verification and submit attested photocopies of the following certificates at the time of confirmation of CAP application form at the ARC:

    Training & Placement Department is the most crucial part which plays an important role in providing opportunities to the student by arranging Campus Interviews. In SBJITMR, the Training & Placement is highly supported by its teaching faculty of various departments.
    The Training & Placement Department is in constant touch with various companies for imparting industrial training and campus placement. The placement policies and other related activities are handled by T & P Officer in consultation with the Principal and the college management. All the departments have nominated their placement coordinators and are involved in the all the activities of T & P process.
    T & P Officer and placement coordinators are counseling the students on one to one basis about their career aspirations and any related queries. The placement office handles all aspects of campus placements. The office is well equipped with excellent infrastructure to support every stage of the placement process.
    T&P department conducts various lectures on career development, personality development, resume writing, group discussions and interview techniques and provide other inputs to make our students better employable.
    The department makes continuous efforts to identify needs of industries and students are trained accordingly to satisfy these needs to the maximum possible extent. It has been the department's endeavor to develop competent human resources with necessary technical skills, guide them for higher studies & motivate them to become entrepreneur instead of job seekers.
    In addition to this the T&P department provides guidance to students desirous of pursuing higher education in India and Abroad.
    Mission of T&P cell is to provide opportunities for Industry oriented training to all students, impart appropriate training to students for making them Industry ready, guide them for higher studies & motivate them to become entrepreneur instead of job seekers.

    Placement Procedure

    1. At the end of VI semester, student data base is created based on the format provided by T & P office.
    2. T & P officer scrutinize and verify the data/ details provided by the students and certify the data base.
    3. The Placement Office sends campus invitations to various companies/organizations along with relevant information.
    4. Company/ Organization send the details of the Job Description (Company profile, Eligibility criteria, pay package, place of posting and allowances) to the placement office.
    5. A detail of the Job Description is displayed on the T & P notice board, circulated through email and SMS to all eligible students.
    6. Campus Interview date is then finalized as per the mutual understanding with the HR Officials of the company.
    7. Interested students show their consent to appear for the campus recruitment process.
    8. T & P office sends the students data/ details, resumes of the interested students to the companies to shortlist students as per their eligibility criteria.
    9. Companies come down to the campus on the mutual agreed date/s and conduct the interviews according to their recruitment process.
    10. The company/ organization prepare a final list of students preferably on the date of interview.
    11. The company/organization hand over the offer letters to the students on the same day or as confirmed with the T & P office.
