The aim of the student’s chapter of the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) at the institute is to foster a vibrant community of students interested in the field of HVAC&R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) Engineering. The aim is to provide students with opportunities to enhance their knowledge , skills and professional development in this specialized field, thereby preparing them for successful careers in the industry.

OBJECTIVES

Knowledge Enrichment: – To facilitate the exchange of knowledge and information related to HVAC&R Engineering among students. This includes organizing seminars, workshops, technical talks, and panel discussions featuring experts from academia and industry.

Skill Development :- To offer hands-on training and workshops that develop practical skills essential for HVAC&R Engineering, such as designing, analyzing and troubleshooting HVAC systems. This objective aims to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world applications.

Networking :- To create a platform where students can interact with professionals, industry leaders, and fellow students in the HVAC&R field. This includes organizing networking events, industry visits and mentorship program to facilitate valuable connections.

Career Guidance : – To provide guidance and support for students career aspirations in the HVAC&R industry. This can involve organizing career fairs , resume building, workshops, interview preparation sessions and connecting students with potential internship and job opportunities .

Research and Innovation :- To encourage and promote research activities in HVAC&R Engineering among students. This objective can be achieved through student –led research projects , collaborative initiatives with faculty and participation in industry- related research program.

Community Outreach :- To engage in community service projects that leverage HVAC&R knowledge for the betterment of society. This might involve initiative related to energy conservation, sustainable practices and providing solution for local HVAC chall.

Technical Competitions :- To organize competitions and contents that challenge students to apply their HVAC&R knowledge and skills in creative an innovative ways. This can foster healthy competition and a culture of continuous improvement.

Publication and Documentation :- To maintain repository resources , technical papers and case studies related to HVAC&R Engineering . This might includes publishing newsletters blogs and technical articles.

Awareness and Advocacy :- To raise awareness about importance of HVAC&R Engineering in creating sustainable and comfortable living environments. This objective can include awareness campaigns, workshops for public, and advocating for environmentally friendly HVAC practices.
