Innovative Teaching Learning Method

Various instructional methods and pedagogical initiatives are –

  • Classroom Lectures: In a traditional lesson, the teacher teach the students about the topic. It is often paired with pictures, slides, or other types of media.
  • Activity based Learning: Active learning strategies necessitate the active engagement of students in the process of acquiring knowledge. Illustrative instances encompass problem-based learning, case studies, and peer teaching.
  • Project-Based Learning is an instructional approach wherein students engage in an extended period of project work, typically focused on the resolution of real-world issues. This educational approach facilitates the integration of several disciplines while fostering the development of critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Technology Integration: In addition to the conventional method of blackboard instruction, the classrooms within the department are also equipped with contemporary LCD projectors and computer systems. The academic staff employs various instructional tools such as Power Point presentations (PPTs), PDFs, and other multimedia elements like animations and effects to enhance the effectiveness of teaching and promote efficient comprehension of the subject matter among students.
  • Experiential based Learning: Learning through hands-on experiences, such as internships and Industrial visit etc.
  • Industrial visit: The college often arranges Industrial Tours, Visits to Industrial Exhibitions for understanding industrial practices and developments in respective areas. Industrial visits are conducted to bridge the gaps between curriculum and industrial practices.
  • Internship: The completion of an internship is a mandatory requirement for third-year students during their summer break. The department facilitates and promotes summer internships for students. The Internship program offers valuable opportunities for students to gain industrial exposure and expand their technical knowledge. The post-internship seminar is presented by the students to the department. The department encourages and supports any student who desires to pursue an internship during their vacation period.
  • Guest Lecture/Expert Lecture and Workshop: The department organizes guest lecture, expert lecture and workshop for students, which are conducted by experts from the industry or society. These workshops cover both technical and non-technical topics.
  • Case Studies: The allocation of case studies on both technical and non-technical subjects is conducted by the Case study In-charge in collaboration with Faculty Mentors. The students are obligated to engage in an analysis of the assigned topic, do research to obtain relevant information, formulate and refine their arguments, deliver a presentation, and ultimately submit their case study in the form of a comprehensive report.
