Innovative Teaching Learning Method
The world of computer applications is growing and changing very quickly because of new
technologies and changing needs in the IT industry. With the use of digital tools and online
platforms, the way teachers teach and students learn has also improved a lot. Now, learning is not
limited to classrooms. Students can access study materials anytime, interact with teachers and
classmates online, and learn in more flexible and engaging ways.
To keep up with these changes, the Department of Computer Applications at SBJITMR has
updated its teaching methods. We understand that just learning theory is not enough. Today’s
students need hands-on experience and the ability to think creatively and solve real problems.
That’s why we have included new and effective teaching practices such as:

 Key Innovative Approaches
1. Project-Based Learning (PBL)
Students work on real-life software projects and tech challenges, applying theoretical knowledge
to develop apps, websites, databases, and more.
2. Flipped Classroom
Core concepts are shared through video lectures and online materials before class; live sessions
focus on discussions, problem-solving, and practical application.
3. Industry-Integrated Sessions
Guest lectures, webinars, and expert sessions from industry professionals (TCS, Infosys, Wipro)
bridge the gap between academics and current trends.
4. Hackathons & Code Labs
Regular coding events, bootcamps, and innovation contests encourage creativity, collaboration,
and agile thinking.
5. Experiential & Lab-Based Learning
Hands-on learning in modern computer labs for programming, cloud, and database systems with
real-time feedback and debugging support.
6. Soft Skills & Career Readiness Modules
Weekly modules on communication, resume-building, mock interviews, and group discussions
help students prepare for corporate life.
7. Blended Learning Platforms
Use of LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Google Classroom), online quizzes, and gamified
