There are nine students of MBA from 2017-2019 batch has been participated in three months ON JOB LIVE TRAINING PROJECT with MM PUBLICATIONS. MM PUBLICATION is one of the leading publications in the Indian Market.

Under the on job training project, the candidates has to go for readers survey and with that, they have been given the task of converting the interested readers as a subscribers for the reputed woman magazine which is VANITA (monthly magazine).

Students are witnessing their transformation in terms of exposure in real time marketing communication, market analysis, competitor’s analysis, consumer buying behavior, office documentation, management information system, organizing database etc.

The activity is mentored by Prof. Asim Partey, Prof. Madhav Deshpande (Training & Placement officers) and head of Management Department Dr. Shreekant Dhale.

Need based Scholarship for economically weaker students by Shri. Anantrai V. Parekh and S.B. Jain Institute of Technology, Management & Research – Year 2017

Shri. Anantrai V. Parekh and S.B. Jain Institute of Technology, Management & Research, under the aegis of Sir Shantilal Badjate Charitable Trust, Nagpur, has announced a scholarship scheme in the name of “Late Mrs. Jaswantiben Anantrai Parekh” scholarship fund for deserving and meritorious students who belong to economically weaker section from Nagpur city. This is the 6th year in which organization is announcing this scholarship. The objective of the scheme is to award
scholarships to academically brilliant students belonging to economically weak backgrounds for their further academic endeavors.

Students who have passed their previous year examination and whose guardians annual income does not exceed 2.5 lakhs are eligible to apply. The total amount to be disbursed under this scholarship scheme is limited to Rs 5 lakhs per annum. Approximately 40 students are benefited every year since 2012. Students who are pursuing their graduation or post-graduation are eligible to avail this scheme. The applications can be procured from 29th August to 15th Sept, 2017 and the last date for submission of filled form is 15th September 2017.

Codifier 1.0 was divided into two parts

  • Workshop
  • Two rounds of coding competition

The workshop was conducted by Prof. Manjeet Marodkar of S.B.J.I.T.M.R.

The workshop was on Python language. The workshop started at 11:00am as the participants arrived from both our college and other colleges. Roshni Thakkar,Tanisha Mehta, Aditya Shukla and Ashar Khan co-operated at the registration and entrance desk. The participants were in teams of two.The students were taught about the basics of python i.e. loops, control structure till file input & output etc.The students received a 30 min break at 1:00pm for refreshments. Co-ordinators Krunal Bagaitkar, Ayur Jain and Aditya Shende co-operated in distributing the refreshments.The technical team and Media team covered the whole workshop and helped conducting it.

At 3:00 pm the workshop ended and the participants started the MCQ test. The MCQ test was of 15 questions with each question weighing 1 mark each. The test was online and the results were calculated only top 40 teams out of 65 teams were allowed for the 2nd round. The next round was an programming test where the questions were displayed on the projector and the participants had 1 hour to solve and execute maximum no. of questions out of 10. The programming test ended at 4:45 pm.

We thank H.O.D of IT dept. Nikhil Jha, Prof Madhuri Dubbey, Prof Priyanka Bhatele and Prof Manjeet Marodkar for giving their time and evaluating the test.

The evaluation was closed at 5:00pm and winners were announced.

S.B.J.I.T.M.R, IEEE Student organizes Industrial Automation Workshop

Workshop on “Industrial Automation” in association with Krish InfoTech, Nagpur was organized by Electrical Engineering Department of S.B.Jain Institute of Technology Management & Research for Vth Semester students.


Mr. Dinesh Nimbalkar of Krish InfoTech, Nagpur conducted four day workshop. Students learnt design automation system using PLCs, programming, troubleshoot and maintain PLC based system. Hands on practice session where the students have gone through design, simulation and issues involved in the circuit of PLC & SCADA. Students were maximum benefitted with the conduction of the workshop and it will be definitely helpful for the design, fabrication and testing of their final year projects where PLC & SCADA system will be involved.

Blood Donation Camp In CSE Department


Blood Donation Camp held in S.B. Jain Institute 

Computer Science & Engg and Information Technology Department of S.B. Jain Institute of Technology, Management & Research, Nagpur conducted a Blood Donation Camp in college premises on 15th February, 2017. The camp was conducted in association with Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank.
Students and staff members gave an overwhelming response to the noble activity and enthusiastically participated in the blood donation camp. Also, student volunteers worked with full dedication for the success of the camp.
Head of the department said that this type of activity provides a platform to students to showcase their belongingness and accountability towards society. The director of Jeevan Jyoti Blood Bank was thankful towards SBJITMR’s helpful gesture.

Computer Literacy Program Conducted

Computer Science & Engg and Information Technology Department of S.B. Jain Institute of Technology, Management & Research, Nagpur once again conducted a unique Computer Literacy Program in college premises for slum area children on 19th February 2017. According to the scheme, students of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year of the department taught underprivileged students from slum areas near IT Park, Nagpur free of cost. Children from standard 5th to 8th were imparted basic computer education including Paint graphics and making power point presentations. The event was conducted in association with a local NGO UPAY who aided the department with a right crowd of needy students to work on.
A two hour session was conducted by students which was followed by a painting competition using Paint software. Children were very enthusiastic and curious to gain computer knowledge and gave a overwhelming response to the initiative.
The activity kindled a sense of responsibility and knowledge sharing among department students who pledged to continue this noble activity further.
Head of the Department shared his experience on this occasion. He was optimistic about the philanthropic act of the students. He advised students to use this opportunity to develop their leadership and managerial qualities.
